Today is Election Day. We need you.
Today, you and voters across the state of Arizona — and the country — will head to the polls in this year’s midterm elections to deliver a message, loud-and-clear, to the president: enough is enough.
Two years ago, President Trump promised he would bring down prices on “Day One” and end foreign wars. Two years later, the price of just about everything — from gas to groceries to healthcare, utilities and more — is up. And that’s thanks, in no small part, to this stupid war in Iran that the president has dragged us into with no clear off-ramp.
At a campaign rally, President Trump even said, quote, “I don’t give a damn” about high gas prices. He continued: “I’m gonna say it. We’re making a freaking fortune.”
Who’s the “we’re?” Not you or me or your neighbor or your loved ones. It’s the oil and gas industry that’s seen soaring profits thanks to disruptions caused by the Iran war.
As a Latino man myself, I’ll also note: I know fathers, sons, and heads of households are looking to provide for and protect their families. That’s hard to do when you’re being squeezed from all sides by factors outside your control.
But now it is your time to tell them enough is enough.
Democrats have work to do. Many voters who are wary of the Republican Party are also skeptical about the Democrats because, let’s be honest, we’ve failed them in the past. I’ve been hearing it all across the nation, especially from Latino voters. We need to work swiftly to show the American people that if they give us power, we intend to use it for good.
That includes by ending this war in Iran to lower costs, taking bold action to protect workers from the impact of AI on their jobs, and reining-in a lawless ICE that has terrorized community after community.
I’m always going to stick up for you. But you’ve got the most powerful tool at your disposal: your vote. Now go out and use it.
